The main thing that I've gotten out of the Tech Savvy Learning Community preinstitute is the awareness that what I have been doing for 20 years may have had undesirable effects on my students. It has raised my level of consciousness . It has me thinking about gender equity, socioeconomic influences, unrecognized prejudices and other issues. By being more aware, I hope to become a better educator.
